Chatsworth Players are thrilled to bring one of the best loved musicals of all time to the Theatre at Chatsworth House.

For those who don't know the story, we follow the fortunes of Eliza Doolittle, as she transforms from a cockney flower girl into a lady. A chance meeting with Professor Higgins outside the Royal Opera House sets her on the path that irrevocably changes her life, and she undertakes the immense challenge of changing her accent and her manners, without losing her self. Full of delightful characters including the charming Colonel Pickering, handsome Freddy Eynsford-Hill, and Eliza's rake of a father, Alfred P Doolittle, this show contains some of the most treasured songs in musical theatre, including "I Could Have Danced All Night", "Get Me to the Church on Time", and "On the Street Where You Live". Based on the 1913 play Pygmalion, by George Bernard Shaw, the story of Eliza Doolittle has been a part of the English theatre for over 100 years.

Come and join us for an evening of classic entertainment in the intimate theatre at Chatsworth House.
